Ticketing System Update

I sorted out the log in issue for checking ticket statuses. When a ticket is created, a public url is now included in the reply which provides access to status and updates. There is no need to create an account or login at all.

I have not hit new tickets yet today, so any tickets that are pending a response will be handled in the evening and tomorrow morning.

Ready To Brew

I've started assembly of the next batch of ready to brew units. First step is head sections and I have completed five since Sunday.

I will be completing the rest of the enclosure sections this week and then will jump on internals. These units will not be shipping until after the new year, best estimate is Jan 6-7.

Build Manual

I'm currently working on the power routing and mains hook up instructions:

There are only 11-12 pages left to add copy to, with about 30 that need to be added to the public PDF. The latest PDF will be uploaded to the github tonight or tomorrow morning depending on how much I can get done this eve.

Shipping Updates

• The next batch of direct units will not be going out until Thursday. This includes two units from an earlier pick up batch that was not completed. A third unit's order was cancelled so this will be passed on to a different backer. I have not yet sorted out who that will be just yet but they will hear from me on Thursday with details.

• I have not yet made the decision to convert all shipments to direct and I probably will not do so until the first week in January.

• Any languishing units in FBA would be moved to the nearest shipping partner location and sent directly from there. They would not be coming back to me. These items would not initially move out by order # so you may see later backers getting moved before earlier ones. Once they were with the shipping partner I might have an opportunity to sort by backer # but I would only do so if it did not add any processing time. I will have more info on this decision after the first of Jan.

• Current best estimate is 7-10 days for most units to be moving out of FBA at the earliest. This is dependent on the pipelines improving and is the major deciding factor for going direct on everything. as discussed above.

• Deep Dive is updating every two days or so right now. It will be running once a day as of the 26th. A couple of backers have reached out that they were still in "paused" status and most of those issues have been resolved by now.

I will have an update on shipping again at the end of this week. It will be published on Friday night, ETA around 10-11pm

Plumbing Tinkering

I've been thinking about using a pinch valve to simplify reservoir output to theboiler. I have some prototypes printing now and will have more info in Friday's update. Initial design is from Nick Johnson's slick little laser cut valve, available on Thingiverse here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12311
