Unpause Quickie

Hey Folks, just have a couple of details to share re: unpausing the pause.

Some of you may have missed the Facebook post about the two shipment batches so I am pasting it in here as well:

"Hey folks! We will be releasing "paused units" in two batches starting on Tuesday(tentatively). This first batch may have some software bugs that will require a few updates to resolve. If you are cool with a slightly rough around the edges initial experience, add your info to the list I have linked below to be included in this batch.

The second batch will be released the following week(plus or minus a couple of days) and will have a single cumulative update that will cover any fixes that were released before your delivery."

  • We are still on track to release the first batch on Tuesday. If you want to be in this batch, please sign up for the list if you have not already: https://forms.gle/MxUchgkufC6F7toC7

  • On Monday we will be releasing the build manual and dropping the code base I'll be working on for the rest of the week. The plan was to hit this on Friday/Sat but I required a few more hours of manual grinding. All that is left here is the wiring mapping which is prepped and ready to complete:

The first code that I'll be hitting is related to Cloud Control API key allocation. From there I'll be moving on to some recipe creation tweaks and a bit of work on the Arduino runtime. The final section will be adding a few additional endpoints for the Decaf API.

  • I will be taking tomorrow off so may be slow to respond to any emails until Monday. I will be available on the Discord channel starting at 11am EST on Monday. I should be there on and off for the entire day.

  • I will be opening up a public Trello board for folks to follow along with the code fixes and scheduling. Link will go out on the social channels on Monday.

  • Details on the release of the second batch will be going out on Wednesday.

  • Folks who are able to install the software that is dropping in Monday are encouraged to add any bugs they find to the Github repo. From there they will be triaged and moved to the Trello board.

Ok, that is all for now. Stay tuned on Monday for a small update and please head to the Discord channel if you have any questions or would like to be involved in the code sprint.

Cheers,

-m
