Hello out there! First things first…I did not ship yet but the first assembled units will be out very very soon.

Here is what’s going on right now:

Assembly is going well but I did run into an issue with the acrylic panels this weekend. The precut width sizing of my bulk panels is off by about 1 mm. Not a big deal for most of the panels, but it is an issue for the one used as the mug platform. If it's too wide, it will bow up in between the main pillars, causing it to be under pressure and possibly crack. I tried to find some panels in the stack that were not impacted, but no such luck. I can easily resolve it with the laser cutter, but I'm going to need an afternoon to power up and re-focus my lenses. My goal is to have this fixed and a workflow to handle impacted panels by Monday or Tuesday at the very latest.
I have been in frequent contact with the backer receiving this unit so they are aware of the current blocker.

Omicron is BLOWING up in NYC right now. I am fully vaccinated and have received a booster, so I am as protected as is possible at this point. That being said, I do personally know several fully vaccinated people locally who have caught Omicron. Symptoms have been very minor, but they still caught it…Some things are starting to shut down again, but mail and package services are running as expected. I will continue to follow all guidelines and update if anything changes on that front.
Updates will now be coming out at a much faster rate and with a lot more info and things to share. Next scheduled update will be Wednesday night, unless I am able to ship before then.
This update will hit the Kickstarter page on Monday, 12/20.
