Update!

Hey folks, tonight I would like to give a quick rundown on what initial shipments will look like over the next few weeks.

Dates are still very tentative and I do not want to get too specific on that just yet, but these next steps are likely still at least 2-3 weeks away.

  1. The first round of shipments will be a limited number of assembled units, likely 2-4 units in the first batch. I know some folks think kits should be first, but it’s really vital to have the machines up and running immediately, under real world usage and stress so we can discover any issues as soon as possible. There will be a short period of testing with users of 1-2 weeks before we start shipping kits.

  2. Once machines are confirmed working well in user’s hands, the first batch of kits will go out. I want to keep these to around 5 units. I expect some initial and currently unknown hurdles/quirks when it comes to assembly. So, it’s important to keep this number manageable so I can provide hands on support quickly. Any new discoveries/issues found or experienced during these initial assembly sessions will inform the documentation to smooth out the process for the next batch of builders.

I don’t want to speak to additional units until the above steps are in progress so I can actual make some informed plans.

Please know I do appreciate everyone’s patience during this extremely delayed run. There are many missteps that I made, and it has been an undertaking that I did not fully understand the scale and difficulty of at the start. But, I hope and I am confident that once machines are in hands, people will be excited.

Next update will be out on Sunday and mostly focus on software stuff. Not much progress on that front the last several days, but I should be caught up in time to share some good info.

Thanks!
