Update

Hey folk, hope all is well out there. Not much new to report yet but things continue to move forward. Given that a lot of the current Operator testing is base level brew testing, I’ve been able to test and finalize some other things like power and internal enclosures. All of the 12v power is now routed using standard barrel patch cables. This was another area that had a few attempts at simplification. My goal was to make everything pretty much plug and play without the time and cost of tons of custom cabling. The TRRS and RJ45 solved this for data, and these barrel cables solve it for power. It also allows for easy color coding of connections. This is a pretty boring pic but it illustrates the simplicity:

This pump enclosure hookup is especially simple. Since the pump’s DRV8871 driver output is only power, it’s a single connection from the PCB to the pump enclosure. Easy peasy.

It will be another few days before I am focusing on DECAF as the primary todo item. I will also be traveling for a few days starting on Thursday so there will be no update this weekend. I will have a short update out this Thursday to share what work was completed between now and then.

Thanks and I will see everyone again on Thursday.

Cheers!
