The Bits
User Build Feedback
I have continued working with a user completing their initial build. There is a lot of room for improvements/tweaks to the build process. Some of them include:
Better labeling on the different extrusion lengths. It's not always obvious which extrusion you are holding without measuring.
The water reservoir access assembly is awkward and needs to be streamlined. The access can be built into the left, right or rear side depending on user preference. Using the rear access is very simple but the left/right access layout is just wonky. I am currently working on a redesign of this section using 100% existing kit parts to resolve. I am also working on improving the instructions for this section. This issue is not a blocker, just a design iteration/improvement.
Mag connector positions need to be changed so they don't block the rear screen panel mounts. These two parts may be combined in a future design update. For now, it's an easy fix to just reposition them.

Build Manual
I have started pushing the build manual updates to the Github. I still have a another day or two of fixing some formatting errors and completing some copy. There is still a lot to upload. I do have a user helping out to improve the technical writing aspect of the manual but that process has not started just yet. I expect that we will start planning discussions tomorrow.
I expect to have the build manual wrapped up in time for Thursday’s update, minus the technical writing improvements.
Shipments
We are still on track to hit most of the 3/11 Deep Dive ETAs. A small quantity may be + 1-2 days. Any units that may take these additional days will have their ETA updated in Deep Dive before end of day on the 9th.
Next batch of direct units from HQ will be going out on Tuesday.
A very small number of later stage preorders(less than 5) have stated that their info is not in Deep Dive. I have confirmed this bug and it will be resolved no later than Wednesday of this week.
Other Bits
Some folks have requested an update covering Mugsy's over all progress in much more detail. Over the next few days I will be taking pics and filming some vids of all of Mugsy's inventory, parts and the packing process. I am hoping to have this by Thursday. Depending on the day job schedule though it might be Friday/Sat. I will keep everyone posted on this progress throughout the week so you know exactly when it will drop.
On Wednesday I will be doing a short form update on 3/11 delivery confirmations. It will just be going out on FB.
The next long form update will be Thursday.
I am still behind on emails/tickets. To fix this ongoing issue, I will be spinning up an account with a shared customer service provider this week. They will triage questions and support requests 24 hours a day. They will be able to handle basic things like order info /shipping info/address changes and more. For anything deeper than that, the ticket will be kicked up to me. The vast majority of tickets(up to 90%) will be resolved with a single email moving forward. I'm really excited about this as the support workload is significant and taking up a large portion of my time.
A user has reached out asking if the recent Corona related state of emergency in NYC will impact future shipments. As everything stands right now, there will be no impact to outbound shipments. I'm keeping a close eye on developments and will keep everyone informed if anything changes.
