Travel Update

Hey folks, as noted in the last update I will be traveling for the next couple of days. I will be back home late on the 21st. Here are some quick updates:

  • Brew testing has started but I have not yet populated the PCB’s for testing. First round of testing has been focused around water level and heating. Sensor data so far has been on point over several cycles and temp overshoot prevention has been working well at the lower end of typical brew temps. Frontend status has been updating correctly with water temp and water level. E-stop is working without issue. Next round of testing will integrate flow rate and pour weight. Some of these tests have been completed previously, but they were done at the individual component/function level as opposed to the current process of testing the overall OS/UI/API control systems.

  • PCB testing/population will commence middle of next week. First tests are route tracing, checking for shorts, etc. From there I will populate boards, wire everything up and integrate the boards into the brew test process.

  • I am working through a couple of bugs on the recipe list and detail view. No show stoppers, just some minor state overwrite bugs and an issue where the recipe detail component breaks out of its parent card when selecting a recipe. I believe this issue has actually been around a while but got lost in the shuffle while I worked on other views.

  • Unless there is something important to share before then, the next update will be next weekend (8/26-8/27). I will be in a good spot to do a shipping update with firm ETAs and will do another todo list breakdown to share any remaining items.

Ok, that is all for now! Hope everyone has a great week and I will see you soon!
