Update!
Hey folks, hope all is well out there, here are the bits:
I used this last week to catch up on some non-coding work. Here is what was hit:
Updated the Mech Control PCB to add footprints for barrel jacks. I was wiring the 12v to the barrel jack using the existing JST but that’s a dumb setup. The JST output will stick around so you can tap into it as needed.
Also swapping out the surface mount TRRS jack for a through hole version as I ran into pad failures a couple of times due to the insertion forces needed to plug in the cable.
Designed a couple of aluminum mounting plates for the mech platform. For the cone mech scale to work, the mech can not be fully supported by Mugsy’s enclosure. These plates will make the mount more rigid, resolving some minor sagging. Lead time on these is 3-5 business days.
I also designed a small cone mech retention tab. This resolves an issue where the cone mech can tilt when putting it back on the mount if you’re not paying attention. You can see this occur in the brew demo from last week when I put the cone back in the mech.
Over the next few days there will be some activity in the front end repo, but nothing too exciting, just getting the base application setup updated for prod.
This upcoming week I’ll be wrapping up some things at the day job before holiday break. I have just over two weeks off and except for the actual holidays, I will be getting in lots of Mugsy shifts.
I’m not ready to update the timelines yet but will be good to get this out in next weekend’s update. I will also have a breakdown on what I will be working on over those next two weeks so folks can follow along. Will have a couple more demo vids as well.
Ok, that is all for today. Cheers!
