Basic Grinder Demos

Hey folks, here are a couple of quick basic grinder demos. Some notes:

• Three separate grinds:

  • Silicone cone, no movement

  • Standard cone, no movement

  • Silicone cone, with movement

• This test is just focused on making sure everything is working. Grounds are not missing the cone, basic cone movement works while grinding, etc.

• The 3rd grind does illustrate that the spinning of the cone will evenly distribute the grounds within the cone, but timing and cone speed will need to be dialed in.

• No weight is being tracked in these tests, just sending a grind by time command.

Overall I’m quite pleased!

Over the next couple of days I will be working on the following tasks:

• dialing in the sync timing between the grinder and cone so we get as close to a perfect distribution as possible.

• integrate the cone weight sensors into the grind loop so we can grind by weight.

• If all goes well, record a full brew with grind demo.
